Allison Krenz is a photographer from the small town of Silver Lake, WI. Krenz has recently earned her BFA in Photography from the University of WI Milwaukee. She currently resides in Milwaukee's East Side. Originally a musician, Krenz took up photography in college and fell in love with the technical challenges the darkroom presented. Krenz currently works in both analog and digital photography. Inspired by artists such as Cindy Sherman and Gregory Crewdson, Krenz finds her passion in set design and lighting. Krenz works as a freelance photographer for events, and documentarian for other artists, on top of producing fine art photographs. Her work has been displayed in galleries in both Whitewater and Milwaukee. Most recently, Krenz took second place in the Teeny Tiny Juried Show at Kennilworth. Krenz also teaches classes at a local camera shop, educating students in everything from basic camera knowledge, to specialty event and subject shooting.  Krenz plans to continue to work in cinematic settings bringing the mundane to life in intriguing and colorful ways.
